Please find below our terms of service for bidding, buying and shipping vehicles from Copart. We also handle Custom Clearing from Tincan Island Port, Lagos.
Our Terms of Service for Buying & Shipping of Vehicles
1) Follow our rules of engagement, Visit our office or call us on WhatsApp
Serious and interested customers that needs our services for bidding, buying and shipping should kindly follow the instructions in this terms of service, this is the rules guiding our operations. You can call us on WhatsApp on 08024102554 for more clarity on anything you do not understand here. Customers within Lagos can also visit our office for physical meeting and business discussions.
2) Vehicle search & Budgeting Guidelines
A) Customers should search Copart for the Vehicle they want to buy.
On the search bar at the top of the website, type in the vehicle make and model you want... Example: 2015 Toyota Highlander. Please make sure you include the year of the vehicle in your search. Send us the link or lot number of any vehicle you choose, we will advise accordingly before bidding can commence.

B) Determine Your Buying Budget for the Vehicle you want.
Once you have chosen a vehicle from your search result, You will determine your budget and how much you can afford for the vehicle, there is no specific price for any car, everyone bids according to how much they can afford for the vehicle they want. Just tell us how much you want us to bid for the car, make a deposit before bidding commence then we are good to go. If we didn't win the car, your deposit is 100% secured or refundable. Please note that Copart Auction Fee is applicable to all vehicles and it's dependent on the final sale price, the higher you bid the higher the auction fee. Click Here to see Copart Auction Fee Table
3) Inland Transport & Ocean Shipping Estimates
A) Inland Transport is determined by distance from auction to port. Budget between $600 to $1,400+ depending on the distance.
B) Ocean Shipping is $1,500 (For Saloon Cars & SUVs)
C) Ocean Shipping from Freeport, Texas is $1,600 (For Saloon Cars & SUVs)
D) Ocean Shipping for Van is $1,800. Truck is $2,600.
Please NOTE that some Vans are regarded as Truck at the Port of Loading, if your Van falls under such category, you'll pay the ocean shipping for truck.
E) Based on Number 2B above, Before we'll proceed to bid for you, initial deposit of $600 or 10% of buying budget “whichever is higher” is required, this is to cover for Copart penalty fee incase a customer wins a bid but did not pay up for the vehicle.
4) Our Commission for bidding, buying and shipping is
$200 for a buying budget of $6,000 and below.
$300 for a buying budget above $6,000 to $10,000.
$400 for a buying budget above $10,000 (Negotiable)
5) Balance Payment for Buying & Shipping (FX Transfer)
A) After buying / winning a vehicle, you're required to balance up your payment for buying and shipping within 24hours. Failure to pay up in 24hours attracts a LATE PAYMENT FEE of $50. Copart gives us two days to pay up for vehicles, we give our customers 24hours to pay up because International Funds Transfer will take another 24hours to reflect in Copart USA Account.
B) Please NOTE that International Funds Transfer attracts an offshore charge of $30 and a telex charge of $40. That's $70. Before our Shipper will pick up your vehicle from Copart, an $80 charge is also required to cover up for storage charges from Copart. Total additional amount to pay is $30 + $40 + $80 = $150.
6) Ocean Shipping Categories (Run & Drive, Nonstarter / Forklift)
A) The Shipping Line (Grimaldi or Sallaum) determines which vehicle goes into the ship as Run & Drive or as Nonstarter / Forklift. Should your vehicle be classified as Nonstarter / Forklift at the Port of Loading, payment for Nonstarter / Forklift will be required alongside the Ocean Shipping fee. Nonstarter charge is $400. Forklift charge is $700.
B) Once you receive your Dock Receipt from us, you can use the links below to track your vehicle shipment. Please always track your vehicle.
7) The Custom Clearing
We handle the Custom Clearing for all vehicles that we bought and shipped from Copart USA to Nigeria. Payment for clearing will only be required once the vehicle has landed at Tincan Island Port, Lagos.

After going through this our terms of service and you're okay with it, please proceed to search for your preferred vehicle on Copart, send us the link or lot number of the vehicle you want to buy on WhatsApp, we'll advise accordingly before bidding can commence.
